The Hermit Crab Sand can be used as a substrate for lining the bottom of the terrarium where your hermit crabs live. This will also give them an area to hide and burrow the same way they do in the wild. To use, Pour Contents of Bag Into Bottom of Terrarium. Depth Should Be Three Inches, Sloping Down to An Inch and A Half. This Will Allow Room For Natural Burrowing Behavior. Use A Scooper to Remove Wastes periodically. Sand Is also A Calcium Source For Hermit Crab. Product is green in color.
